Strength. Style. Sisterhood.
Steel Magnolias is a play about a close-knit group of six Southern women in a small Louisiana town, whose lives and friendship are tested by joy and tragedy over a period of three years. The story centers on a beauty salon where the women gather to gossip, laugh, and support each other through significant life events. The play, which is a tribute to the playwright’s sister, follows Shelby Eatenton, a young diabetic woman, and her mother M’Lynn, revealing the strength and resilience of their bonds in the face of Shelby’s declining health.
