Almost, Maine

by John Cariani

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the U.S. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist.

One cold, clear night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky, the residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend – almost – in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner

Adapted for the stage by Todd Kreidler from the Oscar-winning screenplay by William Rose

In this fresh stage adaptation of the iconic film, it’s 1967 and a progressive white couple’s proud liberal sensibilities are tested when their daughter brings her black fiance home to meet them. But they aren’t the only ones with concerns about the match. Soon a multi-family clash of racial and generational differences sweep across the Draytons’ idyllic San Francisco terrace. With humor and insight, this play begins a conversation sure to continue at dinner tables long after the curtain comes down.
